India seems to be using AstraZeneca and the made in India vaccine. The effectiveness of the Indian vaccine is indeed questionable.
In the U.S., Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca vaccines are used, and AstraZeneca's vaccines seem to be used quite a bit.
AstraZeneca's vaccines have a low efficacy rate of about 70%, so they are inferior to mRNA vaccines, which have an efficacy rate of about 95%.
