If I will survive the surgery and will recover, I will squeeze a lot of donations into replacing the kitchen and mom's room windows, and to close the balcony. Currently the old wooden windows and the opened balcony not just wasting the heat in winter time, but are not providing enough sound isolation either. Hopefully it will work out...

I think that the cost of entire project will rise at about 3000 EUR, because I also want to place sound-proof wall covers and repair-repaint the whole apartment. I have not repainted here since 1987, and the decades of burning open fire to warm us up have made the wall dark brown. Need more brightness here.

I just hope that replacing the old wood+glass windows with PVC+glass+aluminium ones will not make it worse 😅
